If you follow my blog or any of my social media channels, then you know how passionate I am about running and fitness. I write about it, I post pictures about it and I’ve turned my love for moving into an incredibly enjoyable and lucrative career. While most days I’m revved up and ready to workout, I admit I have days here and there where my motivation is lacking, and I’m forced to dig a little deeper to get moving.
I’m lucky to have a husband who is an incredibly fit and strong athlete, so often times his dedication motivates me. But I’m also very inspired by the many fitness enthusiasts and professionals I follow on social media. Seeing posts and pictures of someone’s tempo run or a killer lifting session always amps me up to get up, get moving and get it done. I feed off of motivating others and being motivated by others.
I partnered up with Runtastic again this week and I’m excited to offer my family, friends and followers some pretty neat and interesting facts when it comes to fitness and social media. For example, did you know 32% of people say that following someone who is physically fit via a social network helps them stay motivated to achieve their fitness goals? Pretty awesome, right?! And I can totally relate! From fitness tracking apps and social media, more and more people are becoming motivated to get fit and stay fit. Even doctors are directing their patients to fitness apps to help keep them on track.
Social media has become a key player in the lifestyles of the fit and fabulous! What fitness apps do you use? And what motivates and inspires you to get up and move? We’d love to hear from you!
