This morning I woke up, got ready for work and walked out my door as usual. However, I quickly discovered I had a flat tire. So, I marched myself right back into my house, called my boss and AAA. OK, that’s all taken care of. Then I got a sad call from my husband that his grandmother ended up in the hospital last night due to a hemorrhage in her brain. She was in a coma and brain dead. On any given day you think things will just go as planned, but a day like today is a good reminder that life and plans can change quickly. An annoying flat tire very soon became the least of my worries and stress as a precious life put into perspective that there are bigger more important things. My husband and I spent the majority of the day in the hospital next to his grandmother and with his family. I certainly would have rather been at work at home or anywhere else than watching my husband and family grieve and start saying their good bye’s. We can all easily forget or take advantage of the little things and people in our lives. I encourage all my readers to give someone you love and extra hug today.
