Smore’s station = Check! Full open bar = Check! Meal selection = Check! Damon and I had a planning meeting with our wedding venue, Zorvino Vineyards, this past weekend where we went over all sorts of little details from linens to food choices to the cutting of our cake. And of course we provided them with another deposit. Thanks DaddyO!
I’m so in love with everything about our venue. The coordinators are amazing and willing to make anything and everything possible. For example, the Smore’s station is not something on their typical dessert menu, but they are going to make it happen without hesitation. I also love that they only schedule one wedding per day. I’ve never liked that some venues book several weddings at the same time in different rooms; I simply feel like it takes away from the couples special day. Zorvino is located on 30 acres of private grounds and by far one of the most gorgeous and intimate wedding venues we’ve ever seen. It makes me so happy to be there!
Originally choosing and sending our wedding invitations was my biggest “fear” in planning. The process seemed so daunting to me. We recently sent out our Save the Dates and instead of hand writing all the addresses we created an electronic spreadsheet and printed labels. Best decision ever! Damon’s cousin is a designer and she’s custom-designing our wedding invitations. Let me just say that anything “custom-made” thrills me. It’s been a lot of fun watching our ideas come together and we can’t wait to see the final product!
So far planning has been pretty stress-free for us and everything is falling into place. We’ve done everything together and I’m excited our wedding is going to be a true reflection of both our styles and who we are as individuals and as a couple. I can’t believe I’m less than six months away from marrying my best friend and the love of my life!
Next on our list is choosing a cake! That should be a delicious appointment! 🙂
