This past Sunday, July 1st, my fiance and I celebrated our one year anniversary from our engagement. I cannot believe that an entire year has passed since he popped the question. It still feels like yesterday, but at the same time it’s all a blur. I often wish I could go back to that moment on the rocks at Halibut State Park when he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him so I could really take it all in. It all happened so fast that I wish I could relive it just once to re-experience the life changing event and happy occasion.
We are 85 days away from our wedding day and the closer we get the more excited, nervous, and anxious I get for our it to be here. I often wonder how I’ll feel the few days and hours leading up to the moment when I’m walking down the aisle and saying “I do”…? I imagine it’ll all be surreal. And as everyone continues to remind me, I know it’ll all go by so fast.
Last weekend we spent four days at the Wequassett Resort on Cape Cop for my fiance’s sisters wedding. It was a fantastic weekend. The weather was perfect, the wedding was beautiful, and we had a blast. We’re both so happy and excited they had a picture perfect day and the wedding they’ve been dreaming of. As always, I got emotional during their ceremony. But what made me more emotional was watching my fiance get emotional too. It was fun celebrating their big day and also being able to celebrate our engagement anniversary while we were down there as well. We were celebrating love all around! We’re getting closer and closer to our special day in the limelight so stay tuned for more wedding updates and pictures!
