In mid-June I signed up for a 21 day tone up challenge at a local barre studio. I dedicated a blog, 21 Days to Tone, to my participation because I was incredibly inspired and excited about it. I thrived off the extra motivation from the challenge, I lost a total 4.5 pounds in the 21 days and I definitely gained some strength.
The barre studio is running another 21 day tone up challenge that starts today, and I’m psyched to be partaking in it along with my own personal StepTember Fitness Challenge. In less than 6 months postpartum I lost over 50 pounds, and the positive changes I continue see in my strength, fitness level and physique are exciting.
I’ve been on vacation with my family, but it hasn’t stopped me from being active and completing my workouts. I’ve gone running in the steamy Florida heat (holy sweatfest!), kayaking, swimming and did poolside pushups, burpees and mountain climbers. We’ve been having a great time, but I’m also looking forward to heading back home later this week and getting my butt back to the barre, continue both fitness challenges and training for my first postpartum half marathon! So here’s to 21 days to tone take two and my StepTember Fitness challenge!
