In January of this year I dedicated a section of my blog solely to recipes because I got a ton of requests from people. In June I signed up for erecipe as a place where I would be able to save and share recipes, and build a profile for myself. Unfortunately, the website has been a complete and utter pain in my ass. Yea, I’m not sugar coating my feelings here on this one. Their website just absolutely sucks! They’re website is constantly down either due to technical issues, changing their server or maintenance. I’ve submitted complaints, I’ve bugged them on Facebook (yup, I’m that girl) and after being patient for four months now, I’m over it! I hit the end of my rope a few weeks ago when a follow said they kept trying to access a smoothie recipe and couldn’t. So, I’ve decided to once again revamp my recipe section.
As most of my dedicated readers know by now, I’ve been a contributing writer for various other blogs, magazines and companies for several months now. I try to share some of those posts here on my personal blog when they’re relevant to my audience. Thanks to Hello Nature, one of my new monthly writing gigs, I discovered what I think is the perfect way to share recipes going forward, and I’m super amped up about it. I’m in the process of updating everything, but so far I’m absolutely loving the new format and I’ve already received several compliments on it since sharing my Susie’s Chocolate Mint Smoothie last Friday.
Speaking of recipes, you probably opened this post expecting a new one, right? Don’t worry, it is in fact buried in here! I just felt the need to vent and rant a bit first about my ongoing frustrations! So, today I’m sharing two recipes for super easy and clever Halloween treats. You really only need a few random food items, some patience and the desire to get creative. I published these on Hello Nature, so if you want to see my post for Easy No Bake Halloween Treats click here. They’re totally random, but cutely creative and they’re always a hit among both adults and kids when I bring them to Halloween parties. Feel free to check them out, send along other suggestions and variations and try them out yourselves!
All my recipes will always be available on my blog here, and if they’ve been published elsewhere, the link will simply just take you to whatever website I published on. Please note that all recipes on erecipe are in the process of being directly published here. I’m also working on sharing my favorite juice recipes due to requests. My next Hello Nature recipe is scheduled for October 13th, and it will be added to my ever growing list my blog.
It was a small frustrating bump in the road for recipe sharing, but I’m fixing it and moving forward! Because this is, For the Love of Family, Fitness & Food!
Happy Monday and have a great week 🙂 OK, I know no one really likes Monday, but I hope you all have a great day anyway!
